Vangie Henry, owner, and staff invite you to enjoy lunch or dinner in the Victorian atmosphere of the Kirby House, built by banker Thomas Kirby in 1885.

Our restaurant is a fine dining establishment with a relaxed, casual and friendly atmosphere.  Motorcoach and tour groups are welcome!  Reservations are appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome.

You will find a delightful choice of fresh, homemade foods; a wonderful selection of desserts, and gourmet coffees.  Our full service bar, with a fine selection of wines, provides an exquisite complement to your meals.

Lunch with us Monday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Soups, salads, sandwiches and more.

Enjoy Dinner Monday through Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tender, grilled to perfection steaks; lean tasty pork; seafood, chicken and pasta entrees.

Closed Sundays except Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day, open for dinner these days from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Closed Christmas Day and New Years Day

Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day open for lunch only from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Kirby House is located in downtown Abilene, Kansas.  Abilene is located along  Interstate Highway 70, 2½ hours drive west of Kansas City, 2 hours northeast of Wichita, or 20 minutes east of Salina.  The Kirby House is a short 1½ miles south of Interstate 70 in Abilene's historic downtown district.  From Interstate 70, Exit 275, travel south into Abilene.  At the third stop light, travel east one block to enjoy the warm welcome of the Kirby House staff, where you will find the biggest smiles in Abilene.

Historic Abilene offers a variety of popular attractions, and is a great place to stop, visit, dine at the Historic Kirby House Restaurant and stay over night.  Conveniently located just off Interstate 70 in Central Kansas, visitors can choose from the following sites:
